Principle: reduce friction, not standards
Speed comes from fewer decisions, clearer inputs, and consistent systems.
1) Start with a clear brief
A brief is the fastest way to prevent rework. Include:
- Objective (one sentence)
- Audience + top objection
- Deliverables + format
- Success metric (what changes if we win?)
2) Use version control (even for creative)
Design files, scripts, and copy all benefit from history. Keep naming consistent and document decisions.
3) Batch similar tasks
Context switching is expensive. Batch by mode:
- Research
- Writing
- Design/editing
- QA + publishing
4) Build templates
Templates do not reduce creativity; they protect it. Create reusable:
- Ad concept doc
- Landing page outline
- Email sequence skeleton
5) Weekly reviews
Every week, review what shipped, what stalled, and what to cut. Iteration applies to your process too.
